Hey Guys,

I recently got a bunch of stuff from a laser enthusiast who has given up the hobby. There were goggles identical to these ones:

Glendale Optics Laser Gard Argon Safety Goggles OD 15 488nm 11 514 5nm | eBay

They specify 2 wavelengths that pertain directly to the 2 main emission wavelengths of Argon lasers.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how these handle the 445-532nm lasers that are much more popular. I don't have any lasers running yet and I'd like to know if these are appropriate first.

I'm quite sure that these goggles are not designed to just block those 2 tiny bands, and that its much more likely that they block something like 190-540nm like most blue spectrum protection goggles.

I looked up this company and couldn't find any data on them.

Thanks for the advice!

I have some of the type you linked, they do good for 450nm and 532nm. Although they do not block 1064nm or 808nm, so you'd still have to be careful around 532nm DPSS if it has the IR.
