Red diode?

Hi i was looking for stuff,found these any good?

The first link has junk drives, 780nm CD laser diodes

The second link is DVD-RW drives which will give you a red diode, but they appear to be laptop drives which could give you the smaller 3.6mm diode.

I wouldn't buy either

Why pay this much when you can get the LOC diodes, (the only part you want out of these drives, if that is the diode in the second ones), for $10 each.
PM Glenn (scopeguy20) and he can help you out with either LOC or LCC diodes.
I'd recommend, for someone with little experience, the LCC's, as they are a little less "picky" as far as harvesting and connecting,
