Hello, this will just be a sort of engineering log for anyone who hopes to make the same thing that I do.
What I want to do, is create a copy of this, but with lasers instead of LEDs. My goal is to have the thing paint lines on the walls of red, green, and blue.
first odred of business is design.
I have a 3d printer that I plan on employing for this project's parts.
the three diodes will use this host as the standard casing.
I have modeled the 3d parts, and they are avaiable for download here: dropbox
If you'd like any other CAD files, Throw me a PM and I'll be happy to lisence them to you.
I'll update this as frequently as possible, and maybe do some youtube on it.

bottom motor:
Brushless, outrunner, 1700kv
drive: geared down: 1:3.
