hello!
I've been looking on the internet for about a week or so on how to build my own laser, but the thing is that I want to build my own power source, in order to come out cheaper[ I haven't got that much money to spend]
I would really be grateful if anyone could tell me what electronic parts to buy and how to solder them together in a circuit to make an adjustable power source.
I would just buy the thing, but I live in Romania, Europe so the transport costs would be pretty big I guess and it would take a long time for the parts to get here.
So does anyone know some online shops in Europe where I could buy parts like Aixiz modules?

I found a Huey Jann HLDH-808-b-200-1 laser diode I could buy in my country that has a 200mW output and has a 225mA operating current (808nm wavelength).would your driver scheme be good for this diode?

Yes, the driver is capable of over an amp with the correct resistors

Why in the world would you want to build your own power supply?

That would be really hard...wouldn't rechargeable batteries be way easier?
