Question Is this for real?!

My friend just ordered a Burning Laser, but the output power is 1 mW? Is that possible, he ordered it a few days ago, and I wanted to buy one as they are cheap. But I want to know your guys' opinion!

Typical eBay pen crap.

Other then that, 1mW won't burn anything. It's more dangerous looking at the sun then at a 1mW pointer.

But this laser IS NOT 1mW. It's most likely 50mW or more with more then 60% of total output being IR.

Be safe

Who knows? Time will tell. With all cheap chinese lasers even identical ones from the same seller can vary by OVER 50mW

Yes it can burn matches if focused enough.

NO it is not worth buying plain and simple.

This is about the worst quality of greenie's possible. Just buy a quality laser from here:

LP 515nm 532nm 1-150

Be safe my friend

It'll probably be around 30mw of actual output. Interesting how it says you can use either 1x 18650, or 2 x 16340. I bet you can only use 1x 18650. Also funny how it says the brightness is >350lm LOL. Not how you measure laser light.
Honestly I wouldn't buy that, but it would still be a decent laser for sky pointing and such, I'm sure.

The 301 tends to be under-specified. Burner? Doubtful. Especially for a 532nm. Maybe only if modded.

4 LASER SAFETY: (by Livinloud)
No matter the power, lasers should be treated like a loaded gun with these steps :
• ALWAYS keep the safety glasses/goggles on when operating lasers.
• ALWAYS keep the laser pointed away from humans, animals, cars, trains, air planes, etc.
• ALWAYS keep the laser “unloaded” until one is ready to use it (don’t store it with batteries inside).
• ALWAYS keep the finger away from the power button until one is ready to use it.
If one follows these simple rules, there will NEVER be any accidents involving lasers.

*Technically* if you have enough fog you can see any laser's beam.

But for best beam visibility for cheap, I would purchase a 532nm laser.

You would be able to see the beam of that laser, it's just not high quality. Probably wouldn't be terrible for a first laser. Just be sure to buy a decent battery and a good charger.
Or you could check out rayfoss.com
They have decent priced on spec lasers. I recommend you get a 50-100mw green laser, just be careful!!

Oh sorry haha

Yes Lazerer is good for a first laser. Of course it isn't going to be "top-notch" but it will get the job done.

I´m quite sure this laser is able to burn!

Had quite a few of these (5) in the past. They were perfoming between 80-110mW.

They all worked great, none of them died. IMO the power/quality to price ratio on these is very good.

If anyone is telling something different, they just never had (many of) them.
