Cool Readily available and free source for diode setting tools!

On every single sled I have seen thus far, there are two little brass rings inside the part that I can only assume connects the sled to a rail. On the attached picture of an LPC815 sled it's on the bottom right side.

If you take any appropriately sized tool to remove these little rings from the sled (only requires a light tapping!), you may use it to set and recess the 5.6mm diodes into aixiz housings using the standard vise method. I find that they are usually exactly the same length as the pins found on diodes, although it's certainly possible to trim the pins if they are long.

Hopefully this bit of information will come in handy for others, too!

When setting up LFI make sure you check the "Laser On" Option to turn on the signal!! This took me forever to figure out.
