But seriously, that sounds amazing. I've been mentally planning my first move for this dye laser project, and I seem to keep coming back to - go for a powerful DPSS, stupid. LOL
Reading about PARSEC has gotten me remotivated though!

When I get more funding I will be building, or attempting to build, at least 2W of 532. We will see how it goes lol

Still out looking to buy the crystals. Haven't found the right deal yet. Have a 10W pump and if I cant get the efficiency I'm looking for I can swap it out with a 20W

Sounds like you're well on your way already...

Nd:YAG or KGW or something else? It's a shame you're not in AussieLand lol I come across cheap crystals almost on a daily basis.

Most likely YAG but YV04 will work too and the KTP. It will be a water cooled thermally regulated system so I'm not worried about heat at all.
