Hello all,

Man I wish I would have found this forum before I gave money to Wicked Lasers. I purchased a 75mw evolution about 6 months ago and a 125mw evolution just a week ago. Both of them sometimes won't turn on or will be very dim. I have to unscrew and screw the end cap to get it to work. I have cleaned, roughed up the contacts and battery ends. I have also tried the tin foil tip. They still have the same problem. Whats strange is I can take the cap off and touch a paperclip to the battery and to the side of the laser and it works fine. Does anyone know what the problem is? I am thinking that the problem may be with the spring contact inside the laser but don't know how to disassemble it to check it out. Anyone have any suggestions?

On a side note, I first tried to post this question in the lasercommunity forum and it was promptly removed and I was warned to follow the TOS. After reading the thread about "Steve" and wicked lasers, it all became clear.

Thanks for any help guys.

hahaha, that would be right, WL covering up their faults! Welcome to the forum! ;) Yes i would say its a contact problem, and if you have tried roughing up the contacts, i would say its the connection between the end cap and the case(where you screw the battery cap on).
