I know you guys put your lasers in your pockets some times, what do yall do about a dust cover for the lens? I was thinking it would be cool having something that fits snug, looks cool, and stinks like crazy when it burns (just in case!) or can absorb the energy without back reflections.
Anyone experimented with different materials or starting pieces to work with? All Ive been able to think of sofar is a long thin plastic cap to a spray bottle with electrical tape on the inside to make it snug, possibly a penny sharpied black glued in to the bottom. Seems like a lot of effort to waste on plastic crap though.

Most small lasers fit into a zip lock sandwich baggie. You can put the laser (inside the baggie) in your pocket with no fear of dust contamination. Bill

Yep, that's why I asked if it was home build or bought. Our clickies don't fit too much other than home builds.

Yes. Home Depot or Lowes (or another hardware store) should have rubber (or Vinyl) end-caps in tons of sizes.

You would be able to fine one that would surely fit your laser.

Pipe cover is genious. Ill buy one this weekend.

Also yes, I got the parts from flamin. In the original design that focus knob should be recessed against the host. Since I did all the assembly work and have never heard of soft flexible wire, didnt turn out that way lol :shhh: . The copper coils and spring I made from chainmail leftovers to make it look less tacky, give it some stability, and cool the end of the aixis module since I fudged the assembly a bit.
