Green lasers are VERY complicated! Fixing them at home is a very very risky proccess, and you have a very large possibility of destroying it completely. I would contact laserglow and see what a repair would cost. In other words, you can't fix a green laser at home without special equipment

call them and say it was broken when you got it out of the box, and now you are VERY un-satisfied by having to pay shipping to send it back, and that if they dont replace it so that there is no cost for you, you will not buy from them anymore.

Ok, First off I have an issue with LYING to a reputable laser company that sells high quality lasers and tell them that your mess up was thiers.  This is just plain dishonest and I'm suprised you would suggest something like this.
second. Laserglow has a few folks that pop over here and review this forum and are even active members in good standing.  Thier opinions and input is greatly valued and I for one don't want to see them screwed over by a suggestion like this.  I'm honestly appauled.

Do the right thing and notify them of the mistake on your part.  Tell them you dropped the box.  It won't be as expensive to fix as you may think and having a quality laser that functions is worth it I say.

3000$ for a laser, then no 5$ for shipping it back?
*scratches head*
i hope you already have a plan how to get free batteries for that one as well, right?

Thats the first thing that came to my mind when I started reading this topic. I remember at least a couple of fake posts from LC about destroying or loosing thousands of dollars worth of lasers by "accident"
Its bull IMO.

Plus, thats his first post ever ..

What about the poor old lady that was being pranked by the guy with the mobile laser projector? Ghosts on her TV and all. How sad. Dropping my Blue Spyder I's into a lake also tends to piss me off.
