Hello, I'm a noob. I got my first laser today. Sky-lasers.com 532nm 300mw handheld. It came with the ultrafire LC16340 1200mAH 3.7V battery. I ordered 2 spares and was sent the ultrafire ICR123A 800mAh 3.0V Will I damage my laser if I use the spares? Any input appreciated!

3V?! Are they rechargeable? or disposable? If they are rechargeable do you even have a charger that can charge those? What charger are you using? No they won't damage your laser but it may not work at all or at reduced power or maybe the battery just won't last long. Just charge that 16340 and use that for now until you can buy more batteries, it should charge to 4.2V. And Ultrafire batteries are the lowest quality brand you can buy and aren't recomended.

Thank you. I've looked them up and everyone claims in reviews that they are actually a 3.6V I charged them in the charger that came with them but upon further inspection I see it is a 4.2V charger. what are the best batteries to get and from where? You can look at the reviews I'm seeing if you just search the ICR123A 800mAh 3.0V. If they are running at 3.6 it seems it wouldn't be bad temporarily but I bet you're right I should just avoid it all together. FYI, they seemed to charge fine, barely got warm. I appreciate the help!

Thank you Alan! I emailed sky-lasers.com and explained what was going on. The had me send pictures and verified that they to have run across those batteries and tested them and the are 3.6 volts. They claim ni damage will come from using them, might just have shorter life. I will definitely be ordering new batteries tomorrow. Great thanks to you! Have a great night!
