Noob buying his first laser tips plox

Hi guys, so up until a couple days ago I used to think that lasers were just cool and whatnot, but after skimming through sections of this forum I realize that there are a lot more sophistication and specifications to them then I originally thought. I'm thinking of getting a laser that has a nice visible beam in low lit areas (probably green), and possibly a burning/singeing capability.

If some of you more experienced laser veterans could leave me suggestions on the models/specifications I should get as well as what companies to get it from that would be great. I was originally going to get the 50mw E2 from WL but I don't think that's the best choice anymore. Thanks guys. :thanks:

You should really try looking around more there are hundreds of laser sellers out there.
check out the banner adds on here there is a good place to start.

Good choice to start off with something like a 50mW be sure to get safety glasses also.

For greenies, many people are toting lazerer.com as a reputable source for on spec lasers (aka lasers that are as powerful as they actually advertise).

O-like also sells some good ones.

I also suggest watching the Buy Sell trade section of this forum, sometimes people post GREAT deals on greens that they need to get rid of fast.
For burning you will need ~100mW at least. Even then you will probably only be able to cut black tape slowly, and singe some plastics etc...
