check out O-like.com, lazerer.com!! See what u can get in a $100.

EDIT:If you are planning to buy the safety goggles and wear them at all times and use the laser responsibly!!
i wouldnt hesistate to recommend a high power laser...
But unfortunately this isnt the case, Everybody wants a laser bright as lightsaber for least of the $$$.. and it IS possible but it is a hazard for everybody when the child inside wakes up with a High Powered Laser in the hand he would ultimately blind himself and the dogs , and the ants and anything that he doesnt like or does like but he wants to see what comes of it if he burns it..

mine would be locked up in my tool box out of reach and out of mind. i keep my tool box locked and the same for my knives. ive got a specal place that my little girls do not know about.

i am planning on getting the correct goggles as well.

so what one would you recommend for high power

again my goals are

blue/green color

can pop balloons and burn tape

is pretty visible

also getting the correct goggle/glasses to wear for said laser

id like one with a lock if possible but that is not a requirement

I think that's plenty power for what ever you need, never got a laser off him, but I have heard mostly good things. I cannot tell the diff between 1W and and say 1.5W look the same to me. You are going to get hooked if you get a nice 445nm, is an amazing laser but never take risk with it, that laser would blind someone very quick, even for a split second you are going to get eye damage, so have fun but be safe, there are some reviews on that laser I think, if you search.

DO NOT cheap out on goggles get good ones and play it safe, you will not regrow eyes and laser are no good if your blind. Even the spot on a wall from this can hurt you at close range and others, even at 20' the spot without my goggles give me a headache and itchy eyes, just like getting snow-blind.

what glasses do you recommend? they list "beginner" glass only. id like some good ones.

so the 445nm 1w are the best for what im looking for?

u dont think they are a good company?

they were listed in a "sticky" as being a good company to use....

No, I mean good luck... I have no opinion one way or another about Laserglow.

what did you decide on at Laserglow anyway, if you don't mind me asking?

Aries-100 Sustained: 100-124mW
Peak: ~140mW Class IIIb $389

its a little more than i wanted to spend but their lasers seem top notch and the customer service was great.

i believe that laser will acheive what im looking to do.

what do you think?

It looks like a very nice laser, its more than I would pay to get 100mw of green, its worth it in most likely, I would not buy that for my first laser, but I am kinda of cheap, and its on sale though. So there's that. CNI is know for good lasers and I believe they make that one, and laserglow is the distributor, if I am not mistaken.
