Hi I have a 100mw 650-658nm laser diode/with driver. And I hooked it up to a 3v battery pack and it worked. I wanted more power so o attached a 9v battery and nothing happened. I tried the old battery pack and it doesn't work. Is my laser dead.

It dies.

Yes, cyberusman, your laser is dead. Gone. Off to the magical place in the sky. You should have thought to do a little research on basic electronics before "experimenting" with your laser.

If increasing the voltage increased the output power, then you'd see everyone hooking their lasers directly up to wall sockets
