My first buy or build? DHGate.com?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but have been watching for a while.

I want to buy a laser but I'm not sure what color. I want it to have a visible beam from any angle if possible day/night, and cutting doesn't really matter to me much. I'd just like it to be bright for a steampunk motorcycle build I'm working on.

I was thinking Green, but after looking around here a little bit, It seems that Blue is the new favorite. I like the way it looks but am not sure as to the visibility aspects of Blue vs Green of the same mW.

Price is always an issue. Thanks for any input.

PS: Also... has anyone checked out the green lasers on DHGate.com? Fraud?

you wont be able to afford a true blue laser, they will cost several hundred $ for a high power enough to get a visible beam. you could try a violet 405nm diode, they look similar in colour. BTW green is going to be brighter then any other colour, especially blue

Green laser is definitely brighter than other lasers.

If your looking for visibilty go with a green. True blue is very pricey, and violet isn't all
that visible, atleast not compared to what you'll get from a green
