I only ordered my laser, batteries, and charger like 2 days ago. And already my order is at this stage.

Status: Processing - Contact us for the latest update.

Other than that, i do not know if this is above or below average on shipping time.
Any input would be plenty helpful. :D

If it helps, i live in Florida. lol

don't get real excited until it says shipped, after that it takes about a week to arrive

If the order status shows "Processing - contact us for the latest update" I recommend you make use of their Customer Express Service (support.dealextreme.com... can't post links yet) and ask them using the "Your current order status shows "Processing - Contact us for details"" option, since it usually means there is something wrong with your order. The most common issue is items out of stock.

My order went from processing to waiting and back two times over, each time with approximately a week in between. One time a single product went from shipped back to waiting (and stayed that way for two weeks) before shipping again. Bottomline, they don't know what they say and you should not believe the status.

At this point, I'm already waiting for 5 weeks and currently it sais shipping.

After it says shipped, they should give you the tracking number. Then you should check with HK Post to see the status on your package. :p

I had a laser stuck in processing for 24 days once. Processing isn't always a good thing.

My LEDs were in processing for about 10 days, but my laser left HK only 1 day after I got the tracking number. They're not all that consistent ::)

I ordered my DX200 a week ago (who can say no to a $50 200mW laser that's getting good reviews?).

Mines still in processing, or waiting, or something that isn't shipping. Based on what I'm hearing with DX, no one should expect their laser orders to come quickly ;) It's always better to be pessimistic, because you'll either be justified or pleasantly surprised.

It's hit or miss with the time DX takes to get your stuff out the door... I've had some take a week or so, other times days. My DX 200mW red was sent out very quickly compared to what other people had mentioned, and I was a late adopter as well (might explain it a bit). It depends on what you get. In the end, the shipping is free, the prices are good, and DX has remarkably good customer service for what would be expected to be a shady Chinese distributor.

That's exactly my logic. I always pay EMS just because I think it "red-flags" the order for their expediting department. Whether or not it actually ships EMS (they might choose to send it regular because of fear of customs issues - and they won't credit you), I noticed that it usually says "order shipped" no later then 3 days after. Then I usually receive the package 7-14 days after that. I usually make semi-large orders when buying from DX so the EMS is way cheaper, and because I would rather make one large order then several small ones.

The BS is when you make a large order but some of the stuff is backordered(eventhough it says it's in stock) and they send you several small packages :p

Yeah, that's typical. That's why it's best to "forget" you even placed the order so when it comes it's a positive surprise. Physic yourself out! :p Although you will always get what you want the most last so every time you get a portion of your order you get disappointed. Because you hope it’s your DX 200 when instead you get your CR2 batts and charger, and your laser comes 2 weeks later! But hey, at least you’ll have fully charged batts! :p

It van take a while to get the red DX200. I ordered mine on March 16, it arrived April 16. Mine also bounced around from shipped to processing and back a few times. When it arrived, I got a really good one. Some people have had issues with the switch, or loose lens threads. Mine has no issues at all and was very much worth the wait. A great little laser if they send you one like mine!
