I just got this in the mail an hour ago. I fired it up and it works great, with half a battery it LPM'd @ 240mw. However if I screw the tailcap on all the way down, it won't turn on. But if I back it off 1/2 or a whole turn it works. Anyone know what could be the issue here?

thanks guys.

BTW this laser is so much smaller than I expected. Its about 1/4" shorter than my iphone.

Thanks guys!

If there is one, loosen the retaining ring in the tail cap clicky about 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn with a pair of needle nosed pliers.

That is funny, I just got the same laser a few minutes ago. If Glenn's trick doesn't work then also check and see if you have a shorter version of the battery. Those ultra/trust fire knockoffs come in all lengths. If you can find a shorter one that might work. It is a nice little laser for $55.

I haven't metered mine yet. I'll try to meter it this evening.

Excellent!

My Lazerer Rifle I had to tighten, but several of the C6's and similar lately I have had to loosen just a smidge.

Glad it worked for you.

Yep, I can't tell, but when I shake the lazer there is a tiny rattle. I think it was there before I loosened the ring up but I'm not sure. It goes away when the laser is turned on though.

thanks again Glenn

My 5mW Galileo from LaserGlow rattles a little bit too near the tailcap, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

I figured, I don't know the mechanism as to how these switches work, I've never had a chance to take one apart. I assume it's very simple but I don't know what's going on in there so I don't feel great taking it all the way apart.
