missing posts/topics

Ever since the rule change due to recent ligitations, some posts and threads have disappeared. I'm guessing that those posts were removed because they contained libel/slander.

Would it be possible to restore these topics (after pruning them of the "offensive" posts), or are they gone for good? Some of the deleted topics were rather informational and funny.

I don't think it is necessary to put any of those threads back. True, some of it was funny, but to put any of them back would be nonproductive IMO.
