atomizing is different from burning.

Also, it has been used in the food industry for ages. Safe to eat. That said, I don't inhale vapor. Even food isn't safe to inhale.

Okay, thanks.

By the way, to people who mix glycerin and distilled water:

Do you need to mix the bottle so the glycerin won't sink to the bottom very often? Or is it a slow process?
I tried experimenting and I can't tell I notice it sinking too much, even though I've been warned about this (by someone who sells fog juice, so he could be lying).

You could drip some glycerin in a hot pan. I also tried poring half a container of glycerin on a hot pan. It caused my kitchen to fill with smoke to the point were laser beams were very visible. Vegetable glycerin seems to be safe also. It's what's used in e cigarets.

I tried glycerin and distilled water (1:3) and the generated fog had a weak burnt smell and made my throat just a little bit dry. Even though I probably generated too much fog in my garage for this test and couldn't see 5 meters away.

Is this normal and is this smell also present in real fog fluids?

The can be a mild irritant. Especially the drying of the throat. That was very noticeable when I switched to ecigs, the vapor will dry out your throat and mucous membranes.
