Ok, came up with this idea a few weeks ago just got around to posting.

I was thinking everyone worldwide or just in one certain country should wait for a certain time and everyone turns on their laser pointers and point them up towards the sky. So everyone from this site has their lasers on at exactly the same time. With any luck there should be hundreds of different colored beams lighting up the night sky around the world.

Only problem is the planes would not like this haha.

that would be pretty fun, especially if you saw another beam nextdoor or something :eek:

Yeah exactly! Not only would hundreds of lasers be amazing but you would also be able to see other peoples lasers with any luck.

It's not gonna be dark everywhere on the planet at the same time so it won't work on a worldwide scale....

Well we could just do it at a certain time in your own time zone then just look for lasers every hour. ;)

well it is a good idea, but as TL said, it will be different times in different places. Though i don't think lasers will light up the night sky all over the world ;D

no wait we should do some sort of muslim thing and everyone point theirs toward meca or something..

Hm good point there TimeLord...

Perhaps say at 10pm in your own time zone? So when its 10pm here in england we all do ours then somewhere else when its 10pm you do yours ect.

maybe we should e-mail nasa to see if anyone in the space station can see it LOL
