Hi guys, I'm looking for someone to cut a logo (picture below) into a piece of clear acrylic material. It would be in a rather small piece with the dimensions of 2.5'' height and 3.5'' length. I'll gladly pay for shipping and any other costs. Just looking for quotes, so any one with the correct machinery is welcome to post. Thanks for you help!

Ack, this is why I can't wait to have my machine up and running, I'd happily do simple little jobs like this for people :)

Let me know if you're still looking within a months time :D

For now though, contact "MarioMaster" here on the forums. He has a small laser cutter and might be able to help you out.

Thank You both of you! @things would you happen to have it set up before may 13? It's actually not for me but for a birthday pressent for a very kind friend of mine that made me a rockin gift last year. I really wanted to repay the favor and make something just as cool. I dont mind waiting if you are up for the job because I'm so ahead of the game time wise. Thanks

Hi Mike, it's hard to tell, I myself was hoping to have it done well within April, because if it isn't, I'll probably end up going insane! I have so much cool stuff I wanna do with it as well.

I have just moved house though, so I'm waiting for it to arrive here, most likely this week, then I can get back to work on it.

However, I live in Australia, so not sure how economical shipping would be. Have you tried contacting MarioMaster?

I'm assuming you don't live in Australia here, since you haven't filled out your profile :)

Just for kicks, how would you want it done? Raster engrave the text and outer boxes, and just cut out the outline?

Ah yes my bad. I'm I'm the US (Massachusetts). I'll give Mariomaster a ping right now to see what he can do. I'll keep you in the back of my head if all else fails. How much would all the material and labor cost, just lookin for a quote.

Are you looking to have parts of the logo completely cut out or just have it etched in the surface?

I'm not sure if my machine will really cut through acrylic without melting it a lot since it doesn't have air assist. Etching I can do no problem though.

^^^ well I would like to cut the part out but etching will work too. Can you see the design clearly or is it faint. Thanks Mariomaster for your consideration

Something like this? The red part being raster engraved, the green being the piece of acrylic it's engraved on?

Ya I was looking more for a the rectangle of acrylic material with the logo in the middle either engrave on or cut out. It's going to be apoxied between two post so a rectangular piece is more desirable. Thanks for putting that image out there.

I can probably help you out. The VLS has no problem cutting acrylic and i have plenty of acrylic just lying around.

What thickness of acrylic do you need?

Edit: If it's .125" acrylic, I can probably engrave for the cost of shipping.

If you're sure you want cutout and not just raster etching then have Tesla do it then. My machine has been offline for a while so I took the cooling system down to prevent gunk from building up in the laser tube.

@theteslawarrior thank you my good sir! I'll take you up on that offer. Ya .125" will work perfect! So just a rectangular piece with the logo cut out in the middle. Just hit me up with the total cost. Thanks!
