Looking to buy a laser with a future upgrade program

Hello people,

I have decided to save up and purchase a high quality handheld green laser with the option of upgrading it to a higher powered unit later on in the future. I am aware that Optotronics is the only company that offers such a program, but you laser gurus should know better than me if there are other companies that also offer an upgrade program. I find it very future-proof because as time passes, you can enjoy playing with your current high quality laser and by the time it's warranty is almost done, you can trade it in for a higher powered laser of the same quality by paying a certain price difference. I know that Opto, Dragonlasers, Laserglow, CNI etc... offer exceptionally high quality lasers, but what really differes them from each other is a trade in program. So, can anyone recommend me of another high quality laser company that offers a trade in program? I never liked the idea of being stuck with one high powered laser and not being able to uprgrade to a better one due to financial reasons. Thanks!

The only one that I can think of is optotronics. You should also consider that you can sell your laser after a while, even a used cni laser goes for a lot of money and that could be put towards a new one. Turns out laser usually don't depreciate to much after being used.

You could always make one and upgrade it later :D

I would prefer to have a trade in program rather than buying a laser and then selling it after a while to replace it with a higher powered one because it's always a hassle and might take too long...

I have started putting some money aside for a high quality laser, which should take me around 2 months. By that time, I would have probably got sufficient answers from you guys as to what other companies offer a trade in program like Opto's, which is till now my first choice...

That will probably stay your first choice as no other major online resellers offer a trade in program.
