i need some help guys. i was at a ight club once and someone had a real lightsaber. the handle was metal and was the same size as the light sabers from the movie. built to look just like the real thing. the beam was green. it was thick. not like a standard laser pointer. was about 5-6 cm in diameter. i wasnt long either. once you turned it on it extended about 3 feet. didnt continue on like a regular laser. i was literally like a real lightsaber, but it was a laser. he said he bought it online. payed around 500 for it. havnt been able to find it anywhere. has anyone seen anyting like this? thanks guys.

Mine is brown, rather then crystals, it uses a specail subtrate that can only be extracted from certain animals. luckly this animal is fairly common, and thus there is no shortage of said subtrate, so I will offer the cheapest price.

Well think about it.. You came to a LASER (the real kind, not the scifi kind) forum to ask about a FICTIONAL scifi weapon. Of course were going to poke fun at you. I believe there is no shortage of starwars related forums that your question would have been much more readily accepted.
Though i've never seen, or heard of, a saber like your describing. I've seen plenty with extending lighting effects, and I own a couple of the cheaper ones, but they still have full length quasi transparent 'blades' that are there all the time.. and easily visible unless it's totally dark.
