Hi, I have a host I'm planning to use but it uses a 3 triple A battery pack.
An 18650 is longer than this pack and smaller in diameter. What's a good Li-ion to replace this triple A pack with so I can get more power..
I have a three AAA holder for a flashlight right here. Mine is 21mm dia. by 51mm long. A 25500 may be too fat for your host, my 3 x AAA fits a host with a 23.5mm dia. battery tube. An 18350 with a long battery spring or some magnets might do. An 18650 is too long, at least for the host that my 3 x AAA holder fits. Measure your host carefully.
Could also use 1 x 10440 in the three pack, and two bridge wires in the empty spots. That's if a 10440 will deliver enough current for your application. The 18500 suggested above sounds really good.

Building off of that idea, and hoping that jme is still watching this thread. Rewire the stock 3-pack so that it puts three 10440's in parallel. That'll get you the 4.2-2.5 volts you want, decent capacity, and you still get to use the stock parts.
