So im building a violet laser. A phr-805t diode in a leadlight host from jayrob. Im also using a ghostdrive. The phr-805t is case negative, but how do I get connection to the host? Also, I need to shim the module with something because it doesnt fit perfectly in the host? How can I do that?
Thanks

Use a second spring for contact with the host. Read this thread for some information about building pens, http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/very-overspec-445nm-laserpen-78527.html

Thanks for the help. I now have a working laser :D

But I do have another problem. The focusing. For some reason, although I have it as close to infinity as I can get it, the dot is still huge. When I shine it at the wall from about 5 feet away, the dot is around 3-4 inches wide. Why do you think it is like this? I am using the standard Aixiz lens, could that be why? Also, there is a speck of dust or something on the window of the diode. I can see a speck in the dot. Is there any way I could get that dirt off of there without damaging the diode?
