Default Which laser is worth the buy?

Welcome to everybody!
I want to buy laser pointer and protection goggles. I would like to ask for advice on this matter:

For me, two thing is important: burnable distance more than 2 meter and invisible beam.
I found some laser pointer:

RF808-3W

Firedragon-Ⅳ-808-1.8W

If IR lasers bad burnable:
RIFLE445nm-1W

Which laser can burn more temperature to in greater distance?
Obviously, it be more watt, more power, but I'm not entirely sure.
Of course I will use together with the corresponding glasses.

Thank You.

nobody say anything because obviously this noob wants a 1W+ IR for his first laser (i assume) for "burning things further than 2 meters"
lets all just drown him in safety speeches.....

If you do get any laser over 5mW buy goggles from OEM laser systems for the wavelength of your laser...

May I ask why you want a 1W IR laser?

I would have to say, that this is quite sketchy, are you planning on killing someone, but you don't want anyone to see laser?

LOL. Nice conspiracy theory was created.

I don't think so couple watt laser will be kill somebody. My english knowledge bad, but I try explain why I need.
I have a wood sheet (acacia;etc.) and I want burning to special picture.
On sheet I made pencil sketch and for laser beam follow that line. => http://anony.ws/di-ZTW3.png

So, if not invisible beam, I can't see that line, because too much light.

But if You don't want help for me, I understand. I just buy one of them and trying myself.

Just because you can't see the beam, doesnt mean that it won't hurt your eyes. If your only gonna be a few feet away from the dot for long periods of time, you will be blind before you know it! Especially with a 1-2W!

I read almost this all forum about laser. I know I need to use goggles.

Also from RAYFOSS: 808nm IR Laser Protective Goggles

Default Re: Which laser is worth the buy?

uhm IR lasers are not good for burning for more than a couple mm away (IIRC). go with 445nm. if you get GOOD glasses, OD4+ then you will barely see the dot (please dont buy cheap chinese glasses) good luck with keeping the laser steady
i feel like i should tell him this because, either way he has to buy glasses, and its best that he DOESNT get a IR without advice... (not that i gave him any IR laser advice, because i said 445nm)

Also from RAYFOSS: 808nm IR Laser Protective Goggles

Unfortunatly, those goggles are horrible, they won't do the job. Your going to need something much better, If you can't afford OEM laser goggles, you will need this pair,
Eagle PairŪ 190-540nm & 900-1700nm Laser Safety Goggles

Keep in mind that this pair only does 900nm and above. So it wouldn't do anything for a 808nm, I havn't seen any good ones that cover 808nm (except for OEM goggles)

Check the goggles thread, I found Eagle Pair ones that do 808nm also.

Little pricy though, $75 shipped.

So rayfoss goggles and IR laser for far burning is not good.

I read that ultraviolet laser is the best but too expensive.
The blue laser as well good for cheap.
Can you recommend a good laser up to $250 - $300 and good goggles up to $100?

Survival Laser Home

Get the SL I 445nm 1.2W package, with the copper heatsink upgrade and the Eagle Pair 190nm-540nm glasses. And the extended focus ring is also a good upgrade. And I recommend getting the tripod, it's very useful with this laser.

Although, personally, I don't think you should get this much power, but it's your choice and responsibility.
