I have had this sled kicking around for a while and I can't seem to find any info on what diodes may be inside.
I did some searching and found that it may be from a sony/philips...
It is from a DVD Write Drive so I'm thinking it may contain a 405nm diode?

It has some nice optics including a nice beam combining cube and even
an led?:thinking:

As it is from DVD it will have IR an about 200mW red. 405 is in blueray, which has more complex optics, as it has 3 wavelengths in it.

CD Drives---> IR Diodes
DVD Drives---> Red+IR Diodes
Blue-ray Drives---> Blue-Ray Diodes

As far as I can see from your last photo, there are two diodes in there, an IR plus RED one! :beer:

Thanks guys, I found its around a red closed can diode. Somewhere around ~660nm.
