Laser Power Meter Sensor-how good are they?

I was wondering the same thing!

After asking around...I was told that the accuracy just plain SUCKS.....

Now..I have never owned one..and to this day do not own a meter...
I would rather not reveal my sources by name..

But if you have been around these forums for any length of time....I had gotten the "Steer Clear" from some very trusted sources here that have no Axe to grind at all!

Just FYI..I have never been steered in the wrong direction by any of these individuals in the past..and do indeed trust their input.

thanks. i trust you. i would have thought these would be everywhere if it was true. figured it was worth an ask considering ive never seen these before. hopefully its at least more accurate than the "green led" power meter ;D

Yeah, there sure is...it is called GREED ! There is about $25.00 worth of parts in that (maybe) for a silicon sensor based unit....bah...it's all paying for the development of hte proggy that does the computing.
