Laser Jet ( Printers )

I know this is probably a stupid question, but is there anything laser related in Laser Jets ?? I herd somewhere that there are 'Glavos' in them aswell as a Laser .

I have an old Laser Jet lying in my room doing nothing so I was gonna strip it down and see what I could find .

If it has the right kind of mirror motor you have got an instant liquid sky reflector(some are stepper motors).
They have a long front surface mirror, I chop them to the lengths I need.
There is an IR laser diode in there, I have never tried to see how much power they have....

Ok thanks, even an IR diode is still useful, I imagen its 790nm ?? like the wavelength of CD diodes ?? And the front surface mirrors will be good when I get more fans so I can make a spirograph
