I have a neighbor who installed a cctv ir camera pointing directly into my backyard. I need to disable this camera without a beam showing. I have been looking into alignment lasers but they seem to be sround $300. Preferrably a/c powered so there are no batteries. Any suggestions?

I understand when some get irritated when an old topic is posted again. The problem I have is that people reply with alot of BS like shoot it with a bb gun, paintball gun, howitzer and so on. That is what I get when I read through old posts. That is why I posted a question. Hoping to get a simple straightforward realistic answer that fits the post.

And you think a any of these wouldn't work to disable a camera because....?

The other threads people pointed you to, cover your question in ample detail. If you need further answer to you question, learn about lasers, learn about cameras, and voila! You will know the answer.

I believe that would be considered criminal activity. I thought that was the purpose of a post. To get an aNSWER WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND HOURS AND HOURS DOING RESEARCH. Someone else would share their expertise freely without having to pull teeth to get it.

All this energy saying that I should find out for my self could of been put into a knowledgable answer, I thought I could just disable it with a weak laser constantly pointing at the lens (no damage) I am here to learn. All eyes are open. I am looking for a simple solution not an in depth 2 hr read. Share your ideas or stop wasting your own time with silly responses.

What hours?

You were pointed to TWO threads that cover this question, each of them consists of about 50-75 posts, which add up to probably about 5-10 pages of reading max.

What 2 hours?

You want answers but can't be bothered to do ANY work for yourself? You want instant gratification? That's just not going to happen here. Grow up.

Even if it did take two hours why is that an issue? Reading those two threads should take about 20-30 minutes MAX.

If you're too lazy for that minimal effort, please do the laser community a favor and get the f*ck out.

Like I said before, you put more effort into lambasting me than answering my post with an intelligent answer. I got a great reply in a PM who was very insightful and helpful. Again what is the point of a new thread if everyone refers you to read old text. I could do that without a new post. Thanks for all of your help.

Seems like your neighbor is just trying to protect himself from a person who wont listen to reason or think for them self. Id leave him alone.

Also, if your not up to anything, the camera really shouldn't be a problem.
