What is the magnesium for? Very cool set! may add CD cases

Try to shine a laser onto magnesium powder - but be careful, it´s damn bright!!
I never experienced with CD cases and lasers together... but you´re welcome to add a pic :)

LPF members should show their (useful) laser stuff and I´m going to add everything together in the first post.
Rob should add his RGB cube!!!

I will post some pics of my ... equipement when I get home on thurdsay

I have a soldering iron, solder pump, a done-myself temp regulator for soldering iron, and a DMM, with LPM attachment (I measure mV to get tens of mW like you OP, but I have far better range since mine is TEC sensor, not optical).

Also, EP-5 goggles also count?

I could be wrong, but nobody added some dustcaps, to protect all your aixiz and pen host lasers from getting crap in their lens.

Also need some magnifying lenses and such optics to play around with.

EDIT: @DJNY, well I'll be damned :D
How about next thursday's date , in two years?

Most of my ... equipement can be seen on my photos and videos on youtube.

If you all want, I can take some pics.

As I said before this thread is (in the first place) not for the members here, more for the guest to give them an understanding what they can do with lasers and the right equipment.
Many people get their laser and after a short period of time shining around a bit they ask themselves "and what next??". They don´t have ideas, shine them at people, cars, planes... because they´re bored or their laser get dusty in a corner.

Maybe you can label your equipment in your pics and I also add them to the first thread of course with your name above the pic

In the end I´m going to add a full list with all the equipment posted in this thread. Sounds good?

I'll just post it here once I take the it, and you can put it wherever you want.

Sure, I'll label everything. Although I don't have much to add actually, most of stuff was mentioned already.

I'd also add lens paper and acetone in a dropper bottle for cleaning. And a better power meter. Get the best power meter you can. You'll use it forever.

Send me money and I´ll get a better one!
Momentary I´m able to test all of my lasers (except for the 473nm) with this LPM. And till IgorT finishes my 12x built, the dollar rate is so high that I can´t afford a LaserBee or a Kenometer :undecided:
