I'm just making sure I am doing my best to promote safety. If KipKay is gonna get bashed for not being safe enough, I gotta make sure I'm doing everything right because I represent LPF to a small extent on my somewhat high viewed YouTube channel. I don't want to be a hypocrite, but I do want others to enjoy this hobby, that's what got me into YouTube. I just want people to be safe while they mess with this hobby, so I gotta do my best to promote safety.

one of, if not the very first laser youtube video I saw was from you. It enforced safety. The first build video I saw on youtube was yours, it enforced safety.

I think your doing a great job man.

It was googling info on your lasers from youtube that got me to LPF as well.

There is a rather crucial difference between your videos and those done by Kip. Aside from the number of views.

Your videos tend to leave quite a bit more room for questions and are targeted towards a more serious audience. Kip's aren't.

A safety video from you would be nice too, you don't need to defend your actions or videos IMO.

In terms of promoting safety, I guess best way would be just to mention "Lasers are Dangerous and Will definitely harm you if not used safely." or something along those lines in the video.

Look at the comment on this video that says "I would definately shine this at living things". YouTube - World's Most Powerful Handheld Laser - Review & Giveaway!
That is the perfect example of why Kipkay needs to enforce laser safety more.

EDIT - Kipkay removed the comment, the comment was posted by the Youtube user 'wopmandoo'.

Today I tried to do something that would help Kipkay in the process. Big mistake. Will never try to communicate with Kipkay in normal manner. Kipkay still a douche, not worth any effort of moving from the current 10-red-bricks position as obviously he holds something personal to having the lowest reputation in the history of LPF.

Need to beam a phaze torpedo or something to Florida. Acquiring coordinates.

You're right. Its insane. You have a huge audience, and the opportunity to promote something beneficial for all the people who love lasers like he does, and he drops the ball. :thinking: I dont get it. On top of it he has the worst reputation on the biggest laser related forum on the planet. Yet none of this matters.

We were willing to let go of our personal grudges to reach a solution where both sides win. We got over the fact that the opposite side has gain (more popularity, more money).

He didn't get over the personal issues that he's doing as he's told.

You gotta be sum'ting to reach that kind of conclusion.

Side tracking a little here, Jerry, what exactly does "having a chip on the shoulder" means?

It does take time to put together a video doesn't it? Although a just a statement committing to it would be nice by now.

If he doesn't I'm with Eudaimonium... torpedoes away.

He's not going to make a video without some $$ involved. It wont be a high hit video, so why should he waste his time. If he sold goggles on his website I'm sure we would of had a video looong ago.

That's just it. It's a win-win situation. His investment in making a safety video is minimal.

Even the small amount of revenue the adds will generate off of impressions and clicks would more than cover the costs/time spent.

If he doesn't do it... well, like I said... torpedoes away, and the KipKay is a douche club gets 1 more member - me.

I've tried to be as reasonable as possible, so did many others. If he doesn't want to do it, fine, than he should be fok with being hated on here.
