Hobby Laser Pointer | Quote
^ It's under construction, you may have to refresh once as the code is still being worked on.

What do you guys think about this tool being available? I was bored yesterday having an extra day off work and I decided to play around with a website since it has been awhile. I thought maybe this tool could help out some people who want to build a laser.

It seems like we are getting so many people that want a "burning" laser for less than 50$ and this tool can go to show them the cost of parts to build a laser that is quality and what the parts cost to make them at this power. It doesn't include labor, batteries, or most accessories but anything can be added, and if you guys think it's good or bad let me know please thanks.

Suggestions are welcome.

I like it, looks good so far!
Now all I need is $346.99 for the laser that I just picked out. I went a little over my $50 budget. :D

That should definitely be implemented. Looks quite useful.

BowTieGuy, was thinking if we use Obama math we can keep the price under 50.00 we just have to wait for our bail-out! Heeeeeee

Good idea!

FYI - I can't scroll down the page using the scroll wheel on my mouse and there is no scroll bar at the side of the page to scroll with either. I can however middle-click scroll. I'm on Firefox 48.0.2. Haven't tested it on anything else.

Thanks guys. I will be working on it more after work and adding some more features and items. I'll look into page scroll diachi bUT the layout is supposed to be responsive, I'll add the scroll bar for you guys who may have different resolution screens. I am also going to add a laser safety page.

Should I make diode price vs power page? Sorted by wavelength? Add some Jayrob build kits? Ebay lab hosts?

Links to DTR site and survival with their agreement? Keep this un-indexed in Google so outsiders that don't come here can't snoop around

If anyone has suggestions I'll be glad to hear it out.

It's never to far out of reach you just have a goal to save up!

Just seems something went screwy with the responsiveness - it works fine horizontally but not vertically. The bottom part of the interface was being cut off before you added the scroll bar. Scroll wheel now works thanks to that addition too.

If it helps my current resolution is 1920x1080.

I like the way the menus load in, including the multi-colour header/footer bars. Looks nice, clean too! :)

Some Responsive Layouts Act a little screwy for me as well.. just depends how clean the code is and how fast it will load.

Glad it's working bud. Ill make sure to clean it up I'm sure it's loaded with errors rght now.. I haven't debugged at all.

For the optics section you should add the G7 lens that Sanwu sells, and for the host selections you should add a custom host option which the user can manually input the price they paid for the custom job. I think that'd give it a bit more diversity at least for the hosts part but really nice job the animations are nice :yh:

Edit: Gotta spread around first, but I owe you a rep ;)

Excellent job 94Z. I've given you a well-deserved +7. :D
Once we've worked out the easiest lightsaber hosts (from UltraSabers/SaberForge) to make builds in, it may be wise to add those. However, not yet. :)

Sounds great Sta as I'm definitely following those builds and waiting on a build write up. I love the Star wars type hosts.

I will also see about incorporating customs EP.. the initial release of this was geared toward people looking for cheap powerful pointers to realize the cost that goes into a decent self made pointer. But I will grow it to that with time where it will be useful to everyone; new or veteran.

Thanks for reps and nice comments. If someone wants to partner with me on this I could give you administration access to the website control panel!
