Hello everyone...I found this match, and I got a 3mw laser...and I was hoping someone here could spoon feed me the info on how to light it, so my brain wouldn't have to.... J/K!!

In all seriousness, I was super into DPSS and other lasers between around 2007-2009 or so, and was somewhat active on LPF, however I soon discovered I was spending way too much on the hobby and took a break for a while, to allow my wallet to recover. Recently, I looked back and found that a lot of things have gotten a bit cheaper in the last 4 years. Also, a lot of new stuff is out, so there's really just as much of a chance to spend a ton of money on lasers as ever, but now with 445nm and everything else, I have to get back into this.

I've already been working on a lot of new projects, and I've been trying out some of the new Aixiz lab modules...100mw 635nm, 100mw 450nm, and an 800mw 445nm Aixiz labby.

I have a pair of Army goggles that block 532nm, 808nm, 1024nm, and they seem to block blue extremely well, but my next purchase is going to be the Eagle Pair goggles. Even with goggles, I never allow direct or specular reflections to approach my line of sight or peripheral.

Anyway, I know Wannaburn (JLSE) and Lasersbee probably remember me, and perhaps a few others.

So I will probably write a few reviews in the near future...as well as posting a video of an RGB time tunnel that a friend and I constructed and then visualized using dry ice dropped in pans of boiling water! I like that effect for a time tunnel better than a fog machine due to the more heterogeneous nature of the CO2 fog, which makes (in my opinion), a better look.

Anyway, I've been reading LPF every day for weeks now, just to catch up with what's been going on, and all the great builds and drivers you guys have come up with while I've been inactive in the hobby. Wow. Efficiencies are really high, and some of the folks that have been fiddling with multi color/white laser combinations are really doing creative work.

That's about it for now, Peace!

Hey Brett welcome back
4 years is a pretty long time for the wallet to recover ... J/k and PS: it never does recover :p
Anyways jokes apart we have the 9mm 445s doing 3W , 635nm 5.6mm reds doing 1W , 405s 12x doing 700mW upto a record breaking 1W barrier and there are much more to look at.. You're right on time pal!!

Yeah, thanks...the newer frequencies you mention are part of what has drawn me back into it, as well as a local friend with a lot of enthusiasm to learn and a bunch of good ideas.

I'm really looking forward to trying the 12x's as I've killed too many PHR in the past.

Welcome back! The 12x's are a lot of fun so GL and post the builds. Laserbee might remember you but JLSE is long gone and owes someone hundreds of $$$.
