Hi i just ripped apart and projector from work that they were going to throw away and i think i found the diode, but i have no idea if i am right or pretty much anything else about it.

does anyone have any educated guesses on what i am looking at?

Also, i took some picture of the DLP chip :) looks like it is in perfect working condition too :)

Darn, Thanks Fiddy.

I need to wait for the newer ones to break. The plant I work at has like 2,000+ people so they have to have more broken ones i can scavenge...possibly with laser diodes in them somewhere. And the DLP chip is still worth about as much as a diode so economically i still found a diode LOL

no diodes here.

TBH I'd try fixing up the projectors and reselling them rather than ripping them apart. Highly unlikely you'll get any with laser diodes, they're only very recent projectors.

Also, after the projectors have been used at "commercial" levels, the diodes are "tired" and often have problems with their windows

Peace,
