Well don't buy cheap glasses. I don't have a precise recommendation but I bought 10$ glasses for my laser (same as yours, I really awesome by the way!) but it melt the glasses... So don't go cheap. I usually don't use glasses because I use it outside. If you use it inside without glasses (not recommended..) just remember to never look at the dot it will leave you with a dark area for hours at least (even worse in a dark room when your pupils are dilated).

I dont plan on using the laser in doors much and never without glasses. I value my vision too much lol. I plan on treating it like a gun.

These are VERY highly recommended by a lot of people here. I own a pair of ski-goggle style ones from these guys and they're great!

I agree with H2Oxide. Those are very good and durable goggles. I own two pairs and they work really well. You get a nice case and microfiber cloth with it.

Went ahead and picked up a pair. Im hoping this laser comes in at what it says it is. I added IR filtering to the unit. How much will that affect the output?

They are all tested with IR filter so you're good (it will be >300mW even with IR filter). And you'll see it's truly amazing. Got mine quite fast (ordered 4 lasers so I had to pay 25$ for customs). All 4 are great.

Awesome louis Im a little worried at the moment because my paypal address is different than my shipping address... Hopefully they use the shipping address I gave them instead of my PP address. I sent them an email, hopefully they send it to the right location. It would cause a bit of a mess if it went to my old house.

Your PayPal address should be your billing address I think. That shouldn't be an issue! You can pay with a friend's PayPal account or with yours for a friend so I don't think you need to worry about it ;)

Using outdoors is technically illegal, so be careful.

Using indoors is dangerous

Thus the paradox :)

I thought it was only illegal to use them within a 10 mile radius of an airport?

No it's anywhere you need a FAA variance for these lasers.

But at the moment it's basically "if you're a dick and shine it around airplanes landing or taking off then we'll throw the book at you."

Im having a hard time find any laser laws for Kansas. The only things ive found so far that are illegal that involve a lasers are things that cause harm. Obviously Im not going to run around shining these things at people.

From what I can tell Kansas does not have any special laws regarding lasers.

Just don't be stupid with them. ;)

This. I had a 400mw green the thing went a 1000 feet during the day and at night it was insane.

I put it throw my casgrain telescope and hit a cloud during a major snow storm.

it expanded the beam by 50x so it looked crazy when i looked at the giant dot on the clouds with 10x binoculars.

I'd advise against expanding this beam. Someone may be annoyed by it or worse you hit a plane that wouldn't normally hit (ex at 25,000 ft and 20+ miles away.)

High powered greens command a great sense of respect with their use since they have the power to dazzle someone miles away.

Just like look before you leap , Think before you lase.
