Ok quite a few people have told me with high powered lasers.

"with high powered lasers you start at 30 and work your way up"

Or somthing like that. ;)

But i've decided just to skip ahead to 110mw bluray and make a 250mw red. ::)

Oh yea I also ordered some diffraction gratings, 2 red-green safety goggles and one pair of red safety goggles from dragonlasers. ;D

yea its also failrly easy and cheap to build your self a laser at those power levels
stil busy with my 1 watt red

Now you need one that cuts through 50 inch steel.

50" of steel!? IF he could build one that powerful.....Im pretty sure anything in the MW range would have trouble with 50 inches of steel.
