Well, in my recent thread here:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/ices-megathread-53907.html
Potatorage had requested my paypal by pm, and immediately sent payment.
I had seen him around my entire time here at LPF and thought he was ok.

He just sent me a PM about how he "got an empty box".

"Hi, I received an empty box today. Please explain what is going on. Thanks."

Upon seeing this, because I HAD sent the package, with the iPod; I checked his rep.

This lead me to here:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f63/named-shamed-massive-info-thread-43753.html

What do I do?
:(

Get on the phone & call PayPal & explain the situation. I had to do this with Wicked when I canceled my ARCTIC order. They even put the TOTAL amount of the laser back in my acct. for me to use while they handled the legal stuff. Their number is on their home page under "CONTACT US"

potatorage: If you're telling the truth about being scammed, karma sucks - it comes back to bite you. If you're lying and really have the iPod, karma sucks - it will eventually bite you.

o0ICE0o: If you really did send the iPod, that's rather unfortunate and I wish you good luck. If you're lying about sending it, karma sucks - it will eventually bite you.

I wouldn't worry too much about it o0ICE0o. He has previous, and paypal obviously agrees with you

This is a hard situation.
On the one hand we got a member with decent status and the other a new member, but the older member has a bad rep.
This is a nice gray area.

...I just asked usps if they kept records of the shipping weights.

also, im not all that new here.
2007.
I lost my old email, so I couldn't get back to my account, after I lost the password.

I'm the one who made this:

YouTube - Extremely High Powered DIY Laser

if anyone remembers it...

Unfortunately there are no other buyers from that thread to make a comparison to...

What gets me is why anybody would ship an empty box when the weight is recorded. I dont know if this was the case here, but it makes no sense to send an empty box...

My father in law once received an empty box, but there was damage at the bottom and looked to have been opened with a sharp blade. Odd thing with his was the original packing tape was over the cut..

Introduction:
School is about to start, and I need to clean out!
…and I need a new computer…

This thread will probably not have many laser-related items, mostly because I don't have many things in this area that anybody would want.

The reason that I am posting this here, instead of someplace like eBay:
1.)- I hate eBay, and using it.
2.)- Most of the things here are "techy" on various levels, and I know most LPF users can appreciate that.

Shipping and payments:
All items do not include shipping and some will not have shipping priced; for these items, please contact me via PM with your address so the costs can be calculated.
Shipping insurance is optional, so please specify if you want it.

The prices are what I’m asking.
Offer me a reasonable price, and I may take you up.
I do not negotiate shipping, because I only charge what it costs to ship.
No trades.
I am located in Colorado (USA), and ship via USPS.

When ready to buy, PM me for my PayPal address.

I will update the list as I take pictures, but I assure you, the list will be massive.
Items go on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If the first backs out, then it goes to the second, etc, etc.

Items:
#1

#2

Thanks, LPF! :yh:

Edit*

Do you not have the original recipt from UPS?

...I just asked usps if they kept records of the shipping weights.

Oh. Potato sent me an empty box (supposed to have a few large prisms in it) for $20 last year. He claimed he sent them and they must have "fallen out". He's a big scammer for sure.
From using my Remote Viewing capabilities: I can sense that he actually received the iPod, but is claiming that the package was empty, because you have no way of verifying, other than your word against his.
Sorry to hear. I hope it was insured. :(
Oh, and isn't this somehow mail fraud?

somebody's not telling the truth!
a receipt with weight could help. an ipod in the box should weigh at least 7oz. an empty box maybe 5 oz. the most, depening on size of box.

There still is one little problem:

What if PayPal sides with him?
