Welcome to the forum! You could post an introduction to yourself under the welcome section, and update your profile to include your location.

To the rest of the forum members, if anyone wants to help my friend out, thanks a lot! He's new to lasers, only ever owned <5mW lasers, but he's seen most of WL collection. Yes I taught the importance of laser safety! Thanks guys!

Well, when it comes to lasers you have to get goggles too, which may be more expensive than the laser. Green lasers produce high amounts of Infrared light, so they need IR filters to be safe to use, unless you buy goggles that protect against both green and IR.Which can be expensive, survival lasers sell a pair that protect against 1064nm IR, but not 808nm. (I don't know much about the IR greenies produce) If your heart set on a green laser there's plenty of over spec ones that you can buy and I'm sure someone will link you one. Swiminsurfer256 used to sell them, I don't know if he still does. If reds good enough, survival lasers also sells these goggles. They protect against 405nm violet, 445nm blue, and 650-660nm red. I recently bought that pair and they shipped to my door in 3 days for $3. I also bought this red laser from o-like. Hasn't arrived yet but I've heard good things about it and that its on or overspec. If you want to buy an old one, go to the buy, sell, trade section. Just keep in mind that lasers from there usually do NOT run cheap because their mostly home build and made from top quality parts (I wouldn't hold out on someone giving you one :D).Sorry that my posts always run long but I hope something in there helped you :).

For someone who isn't a WL fan, you gotta hell of a lot of Wicked Lasers !!! Also, if you buy from survival lasers, remember to go to the US website if you're located in the US, and use code LPF445. Buying and shipping from O-like can be brutal, because even though shippings $6, it takes an upwards of 3-4 weeks to show up. And you need to email them about paying through paypal, because their credit card system doesn't work, but its worth it for a $12 laser, $18 with shipping. So basically, if you cheap out on the laser, but get good goggles, you're spending $50-60. I can't force you into getting good goggles, their your eyes, but is it really worth the risk to save $20-30?
