I think he’s been abducted by aliens.

The aliens were interested in their new advanced laser technology lol.

So i wonder if any of these newer wavelengths are going to appear in these hosts?

Is there a thread that explains group buys? I want to know how they work in case I get to be a part of one.

There should be some thread here. But still someone needs to be the hub taking orders. We need to know some interests around the globe. Maybe there should be US, EU group buys and so...

You are absolutely correct, Bob. :tinfoil:

YES, WE ARE INTERESTED.

The first five units are finished but we want to satisfy the local sales first (we have similar laser community/group in china) and they are as excited as you guys and want to see this laser badly. :eg:

We will posting more details and some long distance beam shots next week.

Great. Awaiting this laser. Let's get it. I'm still in. ;)

I just want to see what is inside right now, but I kinda think he won't share, we will have to wait to see that from a buyers unit someday, if they dare open it :(

We see some dead diodes in our rgb prototypes, we gonna limit the laser power of our rgb handheld to around 400mw - 500mw, reprogramming the laser driver probably take us a week or two.

I'm surprised you tried for more than 400-500 mw before, won't be reliable higher than that using three SM diodes, but you found that out. I'd keep it down below 500 myself, 400 would be my target, good choice, but I say that without knowing how hot the diodes are getting in that pointer, so might still be a problem.

Have you measured the beat being produced by each diode at their individual mounts at 400 mw total output? I'd be interested in knowing, they are probably not too far off from one another when mounted in the same heat sink, only minor variation between them, I would think, due to the shared sink, that is. I believe you are probably using the same single mode diodes Opt Lasers uses in their RGB 400 mw unit, haven't heard of any failures at that power output with theirs yet.

I'm still uber eager to see photo's of how the diodes are mounted inside!! Share :)
