my boss saw my dx200 greenie and know wants a green laser sight for his gun. any1 know where to get 1 or if they even make 1? if not wouldnt it be possible to switch diodes with a red 1(maybe buy a cheap dx for the diode)? i think he said he had a berretta...

EDIT: found a few but i dont know if they fit his gun. if you know a berreta specific sight please let me know.

First of all, you cannot swap diodes because of the totally diferent way current red and green lasers work and just the fact that portable green lasers we use today use an IR diode and a set of crystals to get green laser output.

Most of the green laser sights I saw on DX had a rail mount , but I'm sure you can get one for his beretta.Or maybe a rail adaptor thingy....I don't know if they make those :-/

There's also 2 reasons (in my opinion) why green lasers aren't practical for gun mount: they're sensitive to shock because of how crucial the alignment of the crystals and diode is, and so they must have more solid construction on the inside than most green pointers, AND they're sensitive to cold...so maybe you need a warm-up time in the winter. :-/
