Fogger, Hazer or Smoke Machine?

Okay was looking at getting a small fogger/hazer/smoke machine but not sure what the difference is between them. After something that I can use to create a mist to best show of a laser show in the home. There also seems to be different densities of liquid for the machines.

I don't want a unit that creates so much smoke I can't see and the fire brigade turn up outside my house, yet I want something that will enhance my laser show.

Last but not least does this smoke stick to the walls, floors and sofa. The wife will kill me if it leaves a mess.

If someone could give a quick 101 in the types of machines that would be great.

I have the V-Fogger from maplin and I can say you can't go wrong with it

The 400 watt fogger I got from Target puts out plenty of smoke for home use but it says not to use indoors. I suppose a short burst wouldn't hurt - It has no smell.

They only tell you that just in case someone does something stupid with it; they can't sue target.

If you live in the US, find a Spencer's Gifts and get theirs. $40 for the unit and $10 for juice which should last you about 10 hours of consistent use. Plus, its a beast.

well first off, hazers cost a FORTUNE!! a small one will even set you back like $400. ideally a hazer is better for lasers, but the aboce is the prob. so hazers are really only needed if you do concerts and stuff like that. smoke and fog machines are the same thing. no they do not leave residue on walls/whatever, only maybe if you totally fill the room, which you won't even be able to breath in anyway. so ya a hazer is not needed unless you do proffesional concerts and such, and cost alot more than a fogger! just keep the window open a little bit, and leave the room for a while, the fog will dissipate, and not much will come out the window.
