Talking flash sharpie pen

Is it possible to take a black sharpie pen like most of us use to blacken matches to burn with lasers and let it "dry out" and fill the inner tube of the pen with an excellerant like acitone or other flameable liquid to replace the water to make it set on fire what it writes on when a laser hits it increasing the lasers burning ablity secretly? What do you think?

I guess it would work. If you put flammable liquid on anything you're about to light, then yes, it will also catch on fire. But whatever you're aiming the laser at would have actually light, just heating in up wouldn't work.

The flammable liquid would evaporate from the surface before you get the chance to ignite it.
Also, a typical laser pointer will not provide enough power to ignite the fluid.

RA, that's not really true. Two things I have tried are HEET and CRC silicone, and they both stay for a while.

Acetone evaporates very quickly, and will be gone. Depending on the material you want to write on, there are other ways to get an "accelerated" burning effect. If you treat wood, cardboard, or paper, for example, with a fairly concentrated solution of potassium nitrate by brushing it on or spraying, depending on the desired effect, then this will ignite and burn much more aggressively than normal. You could fill the sharpie or an old highliter pen with this solution and write with it.
