Im relatively new to this forum, but i'm interested in purchasing my first blue laser pointer and i came across this rayfoss brand after doing some research and looking around.

www.rayfoss.com
RF445-1W-FWB

It looks up to spec to me and i have read some good things about them on here. Im just wondering if you guys would recommend this laser or have possible better options?

Thanks.

I would sugest you look on this forums BST section for a laser.
Buying from china has some problems.
first you have shipping and chances of the US customs taking your package.
second Shipping takes along time between 7 and 18 days.
Third Less quality, and overdriving a product they dont understand.
If you want the most bang for your buck there are sellers here on LPF.
But with all this power you must be safe with it.
If you would like to buy a Laser and need some help send me a message and i will show you what i have for sale or what others have that are top quality.
Most of us use all the same parts but its all about looks.

If you going to buy a Laser you must buy the appropriate goggles for this wavelength!
That is very important because without goggles you'll fry your eyes faster than a blink!

All members were refunded all funds.
The only member that got caught in a time problem was physx.
So once my pcbs arrive (21st) and i solder them together, hes the first on the list.
I refuse to sell it before it made to perfection.
I have high standards, thats why i make all my own parts.
I have a few personal lasers but they have prototype drivers without reverse current protection, so im waiting.
But the driver having softstart will allow longer diode life even at higher powers.

Good to hear you are not collecting any money until you have them built and ready to ship. That is the best way from ending up in a bind.
