Hello i was making a poll to see what color/ wavelength laser was everyones favorite and why so the options are

405nm violet
445nm blue
473nm light blue
520nm green
532nm DPSS green
589nm yellow
595nm yellow
635nm orange/red
650nm red
808nm infrared
0nm i don't like lasers (why are you here?)

what color is your favorite and why? burning, divergence, actual color, beam, power, ect

firelaser, I think there is a way to actually post a poll here, but I'll bite anyway... I only own a 405, 445, 532, and 650 currently. I have a 473 on order. I wouldn't feel right saying I have a favorite other than what I've actually had a chance to see IRL, but the 589's are pretty darn sexy. I really enjoy the way low power 532's are fairly beam-visible due to being plop in the middle of what our 'ole eyeballs like to absorb, but I just can't pick one. I love 'em all.

That wasn't an option... but it should be.

473 and 488nm are my picks! I also love 640nm red for it's brightness.

I think i got the poll option up now and dang i forgot the 473nm laser i knew id miss one and a really cool color too. ya its hard to decide on one

Everyone likes 589nm lasers.
The problem is , a true yellow laser is so hard to find and when its found ,the DPSS module is often so damn inefficient you end up paying tons more . At which rate, you'll be better off compositing it with red and green lol

I voted 405. If you have ever seen the beam of a high powered 405 you know how rich the color is. It seems to buzz with energy.

exactly why 500mw 405nm is my next laser to get, im sure 500mw is enough to see well despite the relatively low brightnesses. of 405nm

808 because it can make many different colors! (got ya) ;)
How about 1*10^(-14)nm or Gamma rays! (thats close to zero)
