I think nerf guns could offer some good pieces. Their not too hard to take apart and you can make molds out of them. Or just repaint them with black and grey highlights.

About the "1 beam divided in 3" thing, yes, there is something useable, but is not a single lens, are 2 "3 faces 120 degrees" prismatic lenses, one negative and one positive ..... just for give you an idea, like the prismatic lenses that you can put in front of a camera for make the 3 images effect, but more precise ..... in first autofocus units, this assembly was used in conjunction with 3 linear sensors and a pc board, in medical and professional instruments.

The first "diverging" prism split the beam aligned exactly in the center in 3 diverging ones, the second "converging" prism, aligned with the first, make them parallels again, and the distance from the two prisms determine the final distance between the beams ..... the whole assembly require to be 1) optically perfect - 2) perfectly matched, paralleled and aligned - 3) perfectly aligned also with the beam ..... this make it a lot costly (much much MUCH more than 3 full modules :p)

The scheme is for a 2-beams splitter (cause i have no 3D function in coreldraw :p), but the principle is the same

could fiber optic cable be used to split the beam?

once the beam is split, does the energy of the beam get divided between the new beams, or is the energy decreased by losses passing through the lenses?

how would you suggest someone do the reverse,
for example if the 1W Arctic Lasers ever start shipping, and possibly become a stable supply item,
what would you need to do to make say, 10 units, projecting 10 beams @ 1W each, combine and yield a single 10W beam.
would an array similar to the cylinder in a revolver with a parabolic mirror reflecting the beams back to a lens or fiber optic filament
give you a single 10W beam?
if yes, this could be a solution to energy weapons being made real.
think of 1000 Arctic 1W lasers with the lone beams united into a 1KW Blue Laser.
now my college years were a long time ago, but it would seem to me that a 1KW Laser
would be at the very least a very dangerous weapon.
the American Military Industrial Complex has enough brain power and resources to work out details like
power supply and cooling.
as a vehicle mounted weapons platform, something like this is so crazy it just might work.
need more power to destroy targets, no problem, add more 1W units till the system has the energy needed.
need more power, Aircraft Carriers and Submarines have their own nuclear reactors.

uh... guys...
