Hi Everyone
Today, my final piece arrived, DrLava's flexdrive preset to 110 ma. I borrowed a soldering iron from a friend, and when I took the flexdrive out of the packaging, and looked at the size of solder I had, I knew it wasn't going to work. The solder was a bigger diameter than the holes I was supposed to solder the diode to! I went to radio shack and bought some .015" diameter solder, and was able to get it all put together. Now, I have a couple of questions.
1) What is the best way to fix the focal length of the Aixiz module? I suppose I don't really need to, but I don't want it to be loose and end up coming off and becoming lost.
2) I've read a few posts mentioning a new addict's (oops i mean builder's) eyes getting tired from their blu-ray. Can someone please explain that further? I have only had my laser completed for about 30 min, and have purposely only shone it at matte non-reflective surfaces. The dot is so bright it still hurts my eyes. Is this truly "hurting" my eyes, or just making them "tired"?
