EMS shipping problems

First of all, I'm not sure if "General" is the right place to post this thread but well...
Well, after some searching through the LPF forums, I read a lot about "Lazerers", on september 30th, i decided to buy a laser for me.
After a long wait, I received an email from "max" saying that my package was shipped(EMS, which should arrive here in no more than 2 weeks) (october 16th) he sent me a tracking number:
EA126366681HK

After almost three weeks, I'm still not able to track the package. A few days ago, I set max a message, asking him about my laser. He said he already shipped it and tought I had already received the item, also said that he would check it out on the next day, he never emailed me after that.

Well, thats my situation:
I sent 200+ USD for someone under the pseudonym of "Max" which I only heard of on an internet forum, I received a useless tracking number from Hong Kong and now, my 200+ USD that should have already arrived are somewhere around the world, untrackable and with no guarantee of even getting here.

Just to add, I live in Brazil.

I hope some of you understand my situation, if someone could tell me what to do, please help.

How did you pay? If you paid via PayPal, you could try and opening a dispute.

Post/EMS numbers have the format EE123456789XX
Your tracking number don't have the same format so your package haven't been sent by the EMS.
Start a PP dispute about not receiving goods. We can't help you much on the forum.

If its not a EMS number, then it was probably shipped through Hk post, in that case, 3 weeks is still acceptable. I'll update this by the end of the week, if it still hasn't arrived

If you paid by PayPal you have 45 days to open a Dispute.
Then you will get another period of time to open a Claim..

Ask Max for the tracking number again stating that the
number he gave you does not track on any tracking sites.

Maybe he gave you a wrong number....

His answer last time ~
"This was the correct tracking number given by the shipping agency, I tought it had already arrived at this point. I'll go to the shipping post tomorrow to check on that for you, have a nice day".


He said that last thursday.

Well, I'll wait to the end of the week, if nothing arrives, i'll send an email, if he doesn't answer it I'll open a dispute.
Lazerer has a pretty good reputation, thats why im being so patient

I just had a very weird experience with HK post. Absolutely zero movement for over a month, then it just showed up. Do open a dispute before the 45 day period runs out... if nothing else, gives you and Max a little more time to figure things out.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure the first and last two letters depend on which country the package is being shipped from and which country the package is being shipped to

I have EMS orders regularly from China that have the prefix "YW" which is actually the courier responsible for EMS mail in that area (Ynwen Express)

I am not familiar with what letter combinations are used for Brazil but the format looks valid to me

I emailed both the shipping company and max:
Max: "
Sorry for the late reply Hong Kong post didn't update us the result until last Friday. And we have been off duty over the last two day. They told me than the lithium batteries inside your package was being catch at Hong Kong Post airmail center so it is returned to my nearby post office. I will resend the package to you again by today with the 16340 batteries removed. I am so sorry for the delay on your order. And no additional shipping cost will be needed. Have a nice day."

"Thank you for your enquiry.

Kindly be informed that your enquiry has been forwarded to Mail Tracing Office (MTO) for further follow-up. Should you have any enquiries related to mail tracing, please contact MTO at 2921 2211 or email to MTO at mto@hkpo.gov.hk"

The part where max says he wont send me the 18340s, did i get it right? Should I order them separately?

About the batteries... Ask Max if he will ship them
separately.

If Max is re-shipping the package ask him for the
new Tracking number and still keep an eye on the
45 day window.

Max said that its shipped, but without the batteries.
I want to know Where can I get them..
Can anybody help me? A fast delivery method, I need 16340s.
If some (reputable) user can sell it to me, I would be very pleased.
If someone can tell me the specs of the 16340s, maybe I can get them Here in brazil...

UPDATE:

Both items were shipped today, received the tracking numbers for both.

Edit: tracking number is working

Looks like it finally arrived, unfortunately, I won't be able to turn it on until my 16340s arrive :-(


The laser itself seems to be ok, and everything came as I asked.
Goddamn USPS, its "Depart USPS Sort Facility" since 11/15
