Hi,

I'm looking for a easy do-it-yourself laser (taking it slow), i found this on lazerers
DIY Empty CLASSIC Host for Laser Pointer ( Complete Set )
which combined with this:
DIY 100mW 532nm Green Laser Module
or this
DIY 50mW 532nm Green Laser Module

should give me a complete laser, is there any other components I need for a complete laser?

Since they say that batteries will take a long long time to ship, I wonder if it's better to just get an ebay battery such as the one here:
2 x UltraFire 18650 3000mAh 3.7V Protected Rechargeable Battery + Charger | eBay

Also, should I go for 50mW or 100mW, what's the practical difference, can both pop balloons, and smoke black paper? Can the beam be seen in slightly lit conditions?

If anyone has any other recommendations for a kit that i can put together easily (with very little screwing and fussing about), please share.

Oh, and if anyone has experience how are these (I already spent a ton on chemistry safety goggles for class, i really don't want to spend that much on them anymore)?
Beginner Safety Goggles for 532nm / 445nm Laser

Also does anyone get a
"Error: No Payment options are available. Please contact us for assistance!"
on their website during check out, do they accept paypal/credit card through paypal?

Thanks

Look at rayfoss.com. They sell several hosts for green modules, some of them are as easy as pushing the module inside and you're done.
