no it wont get into Australia, it will get confiscated. there is no fine for your first confiscation, just a letter of seizure.

You can buy modules though, buy them from a place like o-like and put together your own laser and you can have lasers over 1mW, check out some of Jayrob's green kits. Get one of those and put it together with a green module, and you got a laser. It's not easy though but the best way to get a laser over 1mW.

By getting the pieces separately and putting them together it's legal. Rayfoss and O-like also ship while lasers to places where they are not legal like the US, email Foana at "rayfoss.com@hotmail.com" to ask about AUS.

for a beginners laser you could even just buy a module from dx and put it in a project box, thats what i did... dx modules are correct in stated power up to about 50mw then they become overstated

www.rayfoss.com
www.rayfoss.com

Like I said, e-mail them to find out if they will ship to AU. But I don't think these will work, they ship those that have unusual batteries without them so customs can't check.

This one is the best choice from Rayfoss. www.rayfoss.com But its 33$ US
